Hello GRF,
I'm a GA Native (Atlanta & Augusta). Recently moved back to the area. I have little experience fishing GA Rivers and Streams and would like to sponge up some of the wealth of knowledge most of you posess. I am experienced at Fly Fishing for all species of Trout and Salmon (NW Montana) and Snook and Redfish (SW Florida) but have no clue about fishing my home State. I have an outfitted 14' Old Town and am egar to meet anyone who would like to float Atlanta area Rivers and Streams. I am especially interested in the Alcovy, and other rivers flowing in and out of Jackson. The article from river description section on the Alcovy peaked my interest in hitting some of the hard to get to areas described. Any put in and take out info would be great. |

Welcome to the board. You will find many ppl on this site that are familar with the alcovy and other rivers you are interested in. The folks here will be willing to help anyway they can.

I'm also new to the board and interested in the east side metro rivers. I'm about 5 miles from where 78 crosses the Yellow and plan on scouting the access areas for it south of there. I'm free mostly during the week and would be happy to join you on either the Alcovy or Yellow.
