Picked up a 14" shoalie yesterday afternoon on a purple & blue Hairy Fodder that weighed 1-9. Picked up a smaller 11 ounce shoalie about 4 minutes afterwards. Those were the only 2 bites of the outing.
The previous night's low temp was 25 degrees or thereabouts, so a few nights above freezing can only help matters.
BTW, even the 11 ouncer put up a halfway decent scrap because it got out into some very strong current.

Way to be, shoalieman, first on the board for March!
If the weather cooperates I'm sure you and others will be posting a bunch more.

11" spotted river bass
(more like a creek bass)
Caught on an RLD
Also caught a nice redbreast on the RLD.
The water was still cold, but air temps were great! |
