Fly Fishing Art

Postby nokinrocks » Wed Jan 16, 2013 11:09 pm

I've been laying tile in my dining room the last couple of weeks and ran across some ceramic tile art I really liked. Initially I was going to work it into the floor but I have decided to put it in a place less prone to damage/scratches. The piece is made up of 12 6" tiles measuring 18" x 24"

So then, that is an 18" rainbow. Pretty nice.

12" in girth, 18" length, yes that could go 6 lbs.

That looks great! It would make a good backsplash behind a stove.

That's quite striking but like you, I'd be having a hard time trying to find a place for it. Perhaps it would make a good coffee table surface. Maybe a decorative inset to a shower wall? YPJ

I would say in a ManCave but I think Alan's whole house is a ManCave/DogCave.

Great idea, as long as it is eyeshot of the indoor hammock.

That picture verifies what I meant, mandogcave, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mancave.

Looks like you have done your research. Run across any plans for an album rack? I have a couple of good milk crates I would hate to go to waste.

Admittedly, I spend more time in the Man Cave than the Dog House..........

Your round :)

Rip a 4x8 piece of plywood longways, stain & seal it, put bricks on the floor under each end lev, stack bricks on level 1 then put level 2 shelf on top of brick stacks and decide whatever kind of book ends you want for level 2 ( bricks do well on level 1). The weight of whatever you put on it albums, pictures, doodads, or whatever should hold it down and firmly in place. Cost you maybe $25.

I only have 8 and 1/4 bricks and one cinder block. Plenty of room for the albums, trophies, lava lamp and pictures. Should work, Thanks BW
