Bamboo Now Officially Shoal bass Qualified ......

Got out yesterday morning for a couple hours at Juliette. Didn't kill them but did manage a couple on the new bamboo.

I'm jealous, catching fish on a bamboo is the ultimate. Are you going to give us a review of the rod performance?

Congrats! You didn't waste any time on getting that thing wet. That reel looks good on there, as does the shoalie on the fly.

Good show Jim. Rod, reel, fly & fish all look wonderful.

Thanks, gentlemen, it's been an interesting adventure. As to performance:
1. What I expected.
2. Casts a sz 2 Dahlberg just fine 40-50' without a lot of difficulty.
3. Being short, 7', it's not for long distances.
4. Plenty of power and very quick which I attribute to the shortening from 8 to 7 foot. I think some would not like its stiffness.
5. Light and comfortable to cast but you can't be sloppy if you have 30+ feet of line out.
