Hey The General....I just looked up Caryville and it is very close to you in Bonifay!! Have you ever fished this area for catfish?

This is one huge catfish: ... 1299.shtml

Anyone hungry for some fried catfish and hushpuppies??
Wonder if ones that big are still good to eat?

General is on an extended trip I think. I visted him recently and I scouted the Choctahatchee while I was there. It is a big river compared to most north Florida rivers and I got about 3-4 floats laid out on it but haven't been back to fish yet. I asked the General last week if he had been over there fishing yet and he said no. It is about 10 miles from his house but he has 2 other flows that are aout 5 miles so he doesn't waste the gas.

Thanks for posting . Man that is some catfish.

Thanks, Blackwater Bill....I remember your post awhile ago about eating a pork dinner with The General and his bride....and your planned fishing trip got rained/washed out if I remember correctly.....???

Must be some really nice water over there, so you gotta get back with him for a trip!!

I just saw the Bonifay on the new article and remembered you went there and also visited with him over there.....Thanks!!

I was over there 5 days and fishhed Wrights Creek two days and the Chipola River one day. Didn't catch much the water was high then.
